Sucessfully try to upgrade #LMDE3 from strech base up to buster base. It is now something like LMDE3,5 but it workes. Do not use the mint Update tool. Instead use apt update && apt upgrade && apt dist-upgrade. This worked here. Next try could be to replace in the sources cindy with #deebie
