Ooooh the jump at the end there (where I jump, pull out the shield, then immediately dash on to the tree stump) is the jump speed runners use I think? It goes a bit farther. You're not actually 'supposed' to make that jump from there.
I wasn't quite sure how to do it but I think that's it there!

Just got to one of the major plot beats in CrossCode. I feel like this is where it goes from really good to great. Been anticipating it this whole time....knew it was coming but still found it really affecting.
Man I love this game. It's been so much fun replaying it via New Game Plus. It's a joy, really. Looking forward to the new game the developers are working on!
