Over the coming weeks, I will do and in depth comparison of #craftcommerce 4/5 and #shopware6 (community/evolve/rise) and see what the strengths and weaknesses are for a German/European small to midsized merchant.

Many projects I worked on have highly customizable products that could produce up to 20 millions variations per product.
To mitigate that problem, I always used product configurators.

Therefore my first experiment will be a #sprig powered tool in #craftcms 5.

For the last decade plus, I relied on #shopware version 5 and 6. I did projects small to big in that time, but I never felt home. My clients never needed most of the functionality or needed it tweaked so much that we ended with bespoke solutions feeding Shopware from the outside.

Especially when it comes to frontend and presentation, I think, Shopware is lacking strong tools.

That is, where I think, #craftcms and #craftcommerce can offer a lot for a predictable price and future.

Having the new machine makes working with in PHP even more fun.
