Una squadra omaggia l’altra, che solitamente ha vinto un trofeo. In estrema sintesi è questo il “pasillo de honor“, un gesto che negli ultimi anni si vede spesso nei campi da calcio italiani dopo aver fatto il boom in Spagna. Questa volta a fare il “corridoio d’onore” (così è stato reso in italiano) sono state due squadre – con i due guardalinee – a Luca Albione, arbitro alla sua ultima partita in carriera. La partita era Terre di Acaya e Roca contro Copertino, girone B di Promozione pugliese (finita 5-0 per i padroni di casa). E alla fine del match le due squadre hanno tributato un riconoscimento all’arbitro, che oltre un anno fa fu aggredito.
Era dicembre 2024 e Luca Albione era stato vittima di violenza in campo durante la sfida tra Virtus Locorotondo e Sava, sempre in Promozione Puglia. Il Locorotondo, che cercava il pareggio, si era visto annullare una rete per fuorigioco, decisione che ha scatenato l’ira nei confronti del direttore di gara, culminata con un violento schiaffo. L’arbitro, colpito in pieno viso, aveva deciso di sospendere definitivamente l’incontro, chiedendo alle due squadre di rientrare negli spogliatoi. Albione ha poi ripreso ad arbitrare anche dopo quell’episodio e adesso ha chiuso la sua carriera da arbitro, omaggiato dalle due squadre con un pasillo de honor.
