A question to #musicians and #tinkerers :

I have the hilariously bad (or amazingly awesome) idea of wanting to construct a sax and a contrabass clarinet out of pvc pipe

I know it'll be much easier to work on a clarinet due to how straight pvc is (compared to me anyways), but I'm wondering if a sax sound is viable if one is made with graduated pvc width increases and using a standard sax neck

If I had a 3d printer, this would be a lot easier but pvc is much cheaper in the long run

In my opinion, one of the best klezmer #clarinetists out there; I took a class with him at #KlezKanada about 15 years ago when he was touring with Konsonans Retro.
