This post is also available in: Englishオーストラリア政府が、5月に行われる総選挙を前に中国への厳しい姿勢をさらに強めている。米国の関税攻勢に対抗するため、協力を求めた中国政府の呼びかけを拒んだ。中国企業が権益を持つ豪北部ダーウィン港の賃借契約も見直す方針を打ち出した。豪政府の判断を支持したい。豪州と日本は「準同盟関係」ともいわれ、安保協力を強化している。豪州は、日米豪印4カ国の安全保障枠組み「クアッド」の一角だ。その明瞭な外交姿勢は、中国を抑止するうえで重要な意味を持つ。会合に臨む（左から）岩屋毅外相、インドのジャイシャンカル外相、米国のルビオ国務長官、オーストラリアのウォン外相＝1月21日、ワシントン（代表撮影）豪州は最近まで自国産食料品などに中国から高関税を課される経済的威圧を受けていた。2月には中国海軍の艦隊が豪・ニュージーランド間のタスマン海で実弾射撃演習を行い、民間航空機が迂回（うかい）を余儀なくされた。そうした動きが豪州の対中認識を一層厳しくしたのだろう。米中の報復合戦となったトランプ米大統領の関税政策を巡っては、中国の肖千・駐豪大使が10日の豪紙に「中国は新たな状況下で豪州や国際社会と手を携え、世界の変化に共同で対応する用意がある」と寄稿した。しかし、マールズ豪副首相兼国防相はメディアに「中国と手を取り合うつもりはない」と語り、中国の呼びかけをはねのけた。中国は豪州の最大の貿易相手国だが、マールズ氏は「貿易の多様化」で経済の対中依存を低減する考えも示した。インドネシアにも近いダーウィン港は、2015年に中国企業の嵐橋集団が地元の準州当局と2114年まで賃借する契約を結んだ。だが、契約直後に嵐橋集団と中国共産党の密接な関係が報じられ、「重要なインフラを中国側に渡した」との批判が国内外から噴出した。ダーウィン港は米海兵隊が巡回駐留し、多国間の軍事演習の拠点ともなる戦略的要衝だ。豪政府が賃借契約を見直す方針を示したのはこのためで、総選挙の選挙戦では、野党党首も豪側が港を買い戻す案を訴えた。中国外務省は「通常のビジネス協力の政治化だ」と反発する。だが、ダーウィン港から中国の影響力を排除することは、豪州はもちろん、インド太平洋地域の安全保障に深く関わる。中国が対抗措置を取らないよう日米やインド、欧州も豪側の決断を後押しすべきである。◇2025年4月13日付産経新聞【主張】を転載していますThis post is also available in: English Continue Reading
