Indian palm squirrel (Funambulus palmarum).

Small, hyperactive, extremely vocal, and a familiar sight in Mumbai - found everywhere, but especially partial to the many parks, gardens, and trees dotting the city's urban, and suburban green spaces.

Wildly opportunistic, they will readily feed on junk food foraged from human habitations, along with their usual diet of fruits, nuts and insects.

Blue Eyed Ensign Wasp (Evania appendigaster)

These quaint wasps, with stunning blue eyes spend a large portion of their lives in our homes - their larvae eat up the eggs of pest cockroach species which plague even cleanest of dwellings, emerging as adults which go door-to-door (or window to window, in this case), hunting for cockroach egg cases to lay eggs in.

A truly fascinating, and useful critter.
