In which I mention #chalybeate iron rich water

Still walking to work ( the second time.. like there were a couple of weeks when I had a car) However, it's sunny and there are roadworks, so timewise it was probably the same.
A local resident messaged the Friends of Park group about the water here, after some repairs to the leaky-dams, so I've been detouring this way and keeping an eye on it. I think it's oily because of the iron content #chalybeate but some one from nature group and council are checking it today (1/2).

Another photo from yesterday for #MondayMorning

Our park, and the town of #tunbridgewells and surrounding area, have #chalybeate springs. This is iron rich water. It springs up through iron rich rocks. The area was mined for iron in the past, with the woods used as fuel for fires for smelting.

This orange and scum are classic chalybeate spring signs, this spring has appeared in the heavy rain, how much water is underground?

Great day out today. Identified unmapped #river #flood #embankments; but the highlight was what must be a #chalybeate #spring (unknown to me) all within three miles of my #cottage. #RiverStride #iron #ferruginous #EnvHist #Nottinghamshire
I'm testing a few hashtags but so far I'm the only one tweeting on park related matters. Here's another part of #Marnock #gardendesign we have #drippingwells #grottoes a fake feature within our natural spring water #park #chalybeate #spring #TunbridgeWells
