If you grew up in late 70’s/80’s and were living near Toronto the best place to listen to music outside the norm was CFNY. A lot of my musical taste came from that wonderful station. Just discovered that TVO did a documentary on CFNY.

I loved CFNY. It was fabulous. That said, a few years later it started to kinda drift from its alternative roots. So I switched to CKLN 88.1. And it was great for quite a few years until it imploded. But, there still is CIUT 89.5.

Anyway, here's the site for the documentary. I'll likely watch it tomorrow.

So, apropos of nothing, there was a song I heard in the 80s, probably on #CFNY in #Toronto, called "No Peace Until the Spaceships Come." (I may have even owned the cassette?). But I can find no evidence of it on the internet, other than google autocompleting my search so I know I'm not the only one looking for it. I think the band had a horn section? Anyone have a band name or a memory of this? (Tagging @roland , who apparently also listened to CFNY in the 80s)
