Pharma giant Cencora is alerting millions about its data breach

Cencora, known as AmerisourceBergen until 2023, says in its data breach notice that the compromised data includes patient names, their postal address and date of birth, as well as information about their health diagnoses, medications and prescriptions.

Cencora has revealed they were a victim of a data breach.

The breach was originally disclosed in Feb 2024 to the SEC, but no additional info was shared at the time. Cencora now confirms name, address, health diagnosis, medications and prescriptions were exposed. 8 of Cencora's partner firms were impacted by the breach.

Cencora is offering those impacted 2 years of free identity protection and credit monitoring.
