#Bzmot time 😍! Previous weekend I photographed the #MAV 117 355 with a Bzx and modernized sibling 117 370 as train 6816 from Debrecen to Nyírábrány, in Vámospércs. A real rural Hungary vibe, where the switches, signals and level crossings are manually handled. #TrainPhoto

👋 from Nyírábrány. We managed to travel with a classic #InterPici #bzmot!

@jon Yeah, my experience with Bzmots is more limited to those bumpy lines :)

"Fun" fact, a Bzmot derailed a few weeks ago on that Drégelypalánk line: https://www.facebook.com/HegyiZsoltMAVcsoport/posts/pfbid03275aFE9tjg6YvVFBXedH5HZhsFtGkpRNZhYgWDoAYetoDThuZP2wuwJMZZ3babTfl

With all the lovely #bzmot content in my timeline, I remembered that I have this photo of the MÁV 117 316 at Drégelypalánk, the former #CrossBorderRail station in north Hungary. The bzmot needs to change direction at this station and shunted to the other side of the side car to continue to Balassagyarmat. #TrainPhoto https://flic.kr/p/2rfWh3W

Something I’ve never seen before: a Bzmot with air conditioning. They call it “air refreshing device”, I guess in order to manage (lower) expectations. But it was quite pleasant on this hot summer day.

Our plan to explore the Hungarian Puszta (steppe) by bike was defeated by a massive, hours long downpour (forecast said “light rain”). Even though the rain has stopped it has left the terrain soaked, and the asphalt option is an awful main road. Took the same almost empty Bzmot train back.

Winter #Bzmot vibes on the periphery.
