There's a cute little piece of 18th-century doggerel about the Enclosure Act in England called "Goose and Common." The enclosures were a disaster for the English working class; you can draw a straight line from them all the way to the coal strikes during the Thatcher administration, and probably further than that. That's probably why every setting of the lyric I've encountered is all minor-key and dirge-like. But it's still witty and clever, and I thought it deserved a livelier tune, so I wrote one.
Warning: I'm no singer. You'll see what I mean. But I'm the one I have.

“Why I still play Piano Accordion. Button Accordion is awesome” 😎
“The #ChromaticButtonAccordion has several advantages over #PianoAccordion. But I still choose to stay with Piano Accordion. I discuss my reasons in this video. For a beginner, it is worth considering starting with a #ButtonAccordion”

Spent 20 minutes trying to record a polka I learned a few weeks back, but never managed to get more than twice through without a major hiccup. So instead here's a lovely waltz I could get through on the first take. This is the “Bluemont" Waltz by Rodney Miller; I got it from Graham Wells, who I believe got it from Jackie Daly.

A button accordion is a type of accordion on which the melody-side keyboard consists of a series of buttons as opposed to a piano accordion, which has piano-style keys.
Here's “Get Well Dave Penny", which I wrote 9 days ago. Rhythm in my playing is still a bit shaky, but I wanted to get it out there.

I got this “Cúil Aodha" slide from Graham Wells last week. I know I've heard it a bunch on a recording somewhere, but I've been unable to track down where so far -- suspect it's mislabeled in my MP3 library.
This is a warts and all recording, with a couple of finger flubs and some lapses in rhythm.
"The Day I Spent With Mick" is a Cuz Teahan composition that caught my eye in his tunebook because it leaned heavily into the quick B / C# alternation that's very natural on a button accordion with a D row. The only recording I'm aware of is on Niamh Ní Charra's fantastic tribute album "Cuz”, I use one of her tasty little variations the last time through the A part.
"Little Diamond Polka" was recorded by James "The Professor" Morrison back in the 78rpm era. I learned it off Hannah Harris’s album "Tea For Tunes”. https://youtu.be/Owus9t6lAYU
