@dwillobeck good of you to leave it alone! Ive seen a bald-faced wasp here in my flowerbed, but never seen a nest. Ominous, you say?! πŸ‘€πŸ˜…

I’ve come to love bumblebees and paperWasps after reading up on them. I used to have a bumblebee queen with broken wing in my care for a few months. #BumbleBeeatrice Right now, I have a guest paperWasp who can’t fly well in the terrarium I’ve made for her. #PeppaThePaperwasp

@spiegelmama Thank you. I believe the default instinct of every creature is to survive. This paperWasp has done well to get on my sock. lol

Selfishly, I’m curious to know how long she’d live in comfy captivity. Once, I took in a bumblebee queen with a broken wing (#BumbleBeeatrice ), and she lived in the terrarium for a few month.

The accidental clone* of the mother-lemon-tree is wintering upstairs next to my beloved jasmines, in front of the sunny window.

*a long story short, I put the cut branch in the #BumbleBeeatrice’s terrarium, and it took root in fall 2018. It brings back some fond memories. πŸ₯°πŸπŸ’•

I’ve had a rescued bumblebee queen live with me for a few months. She loved playing. She had a broken wing, so I let her run around on the chaise lounge and on me. She would take a nap in my hand every day. I loved her so much.
