@dwillobeck good of you to leave it alone! Ive seen a bald-faced wasp here in my flowerbed, but never seen a nest. Ominous, you say?! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜…

Iโ€™ve come to love bumblebees and paperWasps after reading up on them. I used to have a bumblebee queen with broken wing in my care for a few months. #BumbleBeeatrice Right now, I have a guest paperWasp who canโ€™t fly well in the terrarium Iโ€™ve made for her. #PeppaThePaperwasp

@spiegelmama Thank you. I believe the default instinct of every creature is to survive. This paperWasp has done well to get on my sock. lol

Selfishly, Iโ€™m curious to know how long sheโ€™d live in comfy captivity. Once, I took in a bumblebee queen with a broken wing (#BumbleBeeatrice ), and she lived in the terrarium for a few month.

The accidental clone* of the mother-lemon-tree is wintering upstairs next to my beloved jasmines, in front of the sunny window.

*a long story short, I put the cut branch in the #BumbleBeeatriceโ€™s terrarium, and it took root in fall 2018. It brings back some fond memories. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’•

Iโ€™ve had a rescued bumblebee queen live with me for a few months. She loved playing. She had a broken wing, so I let her run around on the chaise lounge and on me. She would take a nap in my hand every day. I loved her so much.
