Iβve come to love bumblebees and paperWasps after reading up on them. I used to have a bumblebee queen with broken wing in my care for a few months. #BumbleBeeatrice Right now, I have a guest paperWasp who canβt fly well in the terrarium Iβve made for her. #PeppaThePaperwasp
Peppa the paperWasp is doing well. Sheβs got a routine now. She loves organic fuji apple.
Compared to my bumblebee queens who were all βpick me up, letβs play,β sheβs not as friendly, but sheβs timid and I know sheβs trying her best. π₯°ππβ¨

Attached: 2 images Yesterday, while I was watering plants around the house, this paperWasp hitched a ride on my right sock. (I wear sandals with socks) She seemed to have needed some rest, so I put her on the snapdragon plant right outside of the kitchen door. Today, just now, she came out of hiding while watering plants again, and looked like she needed some help. So, I placed her in a plastic container with organic apple core and some begonia flowers. At first, she was disoriented, but soon went for the apple. After several minutes, she seemed to have regained some strength. Sheβs resting under the jasmine leaves now. It was chilly last night, the temperature went from daytime 35C down to 22C at dawn. PaperWasps love hot weather. Anyway, if she can fly, Iβll release her outside. But their lives are short. I might let her enjoy the easy retirement living. π₯°ππ #pollinators
