Quick update to this: Apparently brightcloud flags any page with the word "proxy" in it, including the default page Nginx Proxy Manager serves up for unrecognized domains. I used a wildcard subdomain, so old offline projects got this default page.

I'm moving from my #selfhosted #mastodon instance back to mastodon.social, and moving nfriedly.com back to github pages.

It's not really a mastodon problem, it's more a #BrightCloud problem.

I had a web proxy on nfriedly.com when I was in highschool. Even though I took it down over 10 years ago, brightcloud still flags any IP associated with it. Including, currently, my home IP. 🀬

This causes me to get blocked from logging into the USPS website, my wifi garage door opener, etc. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
