We're having hotdogs for dinner tonight.

Just turkey dogs and fries. Nothing fancy.

Except my wife has prepped the potatoes with a chaat masala, and we've got some Maggi hot and sweet ketchup for the tatters and the dogs.

It should be pretty good.

Time , #Comedy and Strangeness Dept: It’s fully twenty years too late to be possible but in sixth grade ( or was it fifth ? ) back on #LongIsland there was only one girl that would play Kill The Guy With The Ball ( chaotic football variant)with us during lunch recess. You would look at lliza and go OMG, that’s her ! Anyway here’s #llizaShlesinger on #BreakingBread with #TomPapa. Doppelganger

my wife is making curry for dinner.

This is dried noodles, red curry paste, various veggies. She's baking it off like a lasagna, somehow.

It smells delightful.

The onions and peppers will get processed today, and split into buckets for meals for this week, and to freeze for the future.

I don't know what the lemons are for. Probably scones. We got black currants too, so I suspect we are making scones.

The potatoes will be boiled and mashed with butter and served with some of the pulled pork we made a bit ago and froze.

The overripe bananas are for banana bread. The manzano bananas are to try.

The rice is for every meal.

The soy sauce and oyster sauce get used in our Thai basil and pad see ew, and whatever else we decide to use them for.

The Chinese style sausage was mostly just to try, but if it's good that will be breakfast for several days.

The junk food is for me, mostly to have with my lunches.

The Hot Ones – Docs: New Taylor Swift, Shark Attacks & Unexplained Stories From David Duchovny Will Pique Curiosity In Cannes

A rundown of the documentaries peaking buyers' interest next week in Cannes.

Deadline

My wife and I worked all weekend, so we ended up getting Pizza one night and going out for dinner with a friend the other night.

We also did a grocery trip and topped off our fresh produce with about $75 worth of stuff. That'll get us through Thursday or so.

For lunch today I'm having sardines and crackers.

#breakingbread.

Stopped by the grocery store on the way home and picked up:

- some produce (cucumber, zucchini, onion, tomato, green beans, mushrooms)
- soy sauce
- noodles
- Tahini and chickpeas (for hummus!)
- some chips and some soda.

It was $60! That's a lot.

The tahini was the most expensive item, followed by the chips and soda. I think it was $10 in Tahini. We got pringles, tortilla chips, and a 4 pack of Boylans soda. Each of those things was $5, IIRC?

So $25 of our grocery run was tahini, chips, and soda, and the rest ($35) was soy sauce, noodles, and produce.

We're having Pad See Ew for dinner.

Today, for lunch, I'm having some instant Tteokbokki for lunch, along with some teriyaki sardines. ($5 total)

This is my first time doing instant rice cakes, so I don't know if they'll be any good!

I think I added too much water to the sauce. It called for 3 tablespoons, and I eyeballed it.

It looks like Tteokbokki, but it's too hot to try yet. #breakingBread

Last night we had rice with lemon pepper salmon. It was about $7 per plate (because we went with frozen salmon, rather than fresh. The frozen is slightly more expensive, but means we have to go shopping less often.)
