At TeePee Cider we live on the Taratahi plains of the Wairarapa. This is an alluvial plain feed by braided rivers flowing from the Tararua ranges. These are geologically young steep and of broken greywacke rock that generates a lot of gravel and silts that flow down the rivers to the sea, or deposited onto the lands during flooding. #aquifer #orchard #cidery #wairarapa #braidplain
