🏳️‍⚧️💖 Next in my remembrances is, Jacqueline Charlotte Dufresnoy; better known as-- Coccinelle (8/23/ 1931 – 10/9/2006). She was a French cabaret entertainer, singer, actress, and transgender woman. She was one of the first people to successfully receive bottom surgery in Europe as a celebrity. She was an amazing entertainer and a huge presence across media. An openly transgender woman was able to receive a great deal of fame, and was dubbed "blonde bombshell" in the 1950's -- well before our kin found representation and acceptance.💖🏳️‍⚧️
