The #crumar (an Italian synth manufacturer) #bit99 also has a cassette interface. That allows for saving/restoring your patches. It is a good idea to make a backup as you can spend quite some time not only doing the patches but also the layers. The bit 01 is the expander for the 99
Another #synth I used for this song was the Chase Bit 99 synthesizer. Just kidding. The #Crumar #Bit99 is what I got. It was sold in the UK under the Chase brand apparently (pretty corny advertising I agree). In the US they sold as both Crumar & Unique.
It is capable of layering two patches together, leaving a 3 note polyphony in that case (it has 6 voices total). The voices have a lot of character given the simplicity of the architecture thanks to CEM3328 filters
