The much-maligned Cars album (man, talk about some brutal reviews). I've always felt it took a beating mostly for simply having the nerve to follow up the beloved Heartbeat City (Tusk, anyone?). Also feel it was a turn back to a Cars style found on earlier albums (especially Candy-O and Panorama), which may have turned off many new fans introduced to a poppier, MTV-centric Cars. If you're solely a 'first album' and 'heartbeat' Cars fan, that's fine - certainly can't blame you there. But if you're big into their other albums, I really think you should revisit this one.

Sure, you know Dream Weaver (and hopefully enjoy it). If so, take a little deeper dive sometime into Gary Wright - terrific stuff to be found. You may recognize 'Love Is Alive', the follow-up hit to Dream Weaver and maybe even the below radar single 'Really Wanna Know You' from 1981 (a personal favorite). Below Radar ...

Def Leppard's 'Adrenalize' album received pretty mixed reviews* (it's biggest sin simply being a followup to behemoths Pyromania & Hysteria), but there are some real gems here. Easy to remember, I find songs 2, 4, 6 and 8 to be top shelf Lep. Give 'em a listen and see what you think.
