Whilst this is refreshing to see, remember that Costco are still a corporation and by the logic of #BecauseCapitalism they are preserving their DEI programs #BecauseMarketingSaysSo
I made an interesting discovery about those Keurig cups: my 'payment' from last Foodbank was a box of cups; I don't have a machine, but with the recent 20% hike in the store price for my lavazza, I accepted the gift and figured I'd just open them up and use the coffee in my DeLonghi.
Each 'cup' contains a third of a scoop more than needed for an espresso.
Reboosting this #BecauseCapitalism thread because of the rollbacks of DEI programs in major companies like Facebook etc… Consider this a periodic reminder that such programs which make corporations #ApparentlyProgressive will only ever exist to the extent that #BecauseMarketing says they are a net positive to the corporation’s bottom line.
Rebooting this #BecauseCapitalism in light of the Laura Loomer business.
Consider it your reminder that whilst corporations like money more than they like racism, they will nevertheless like racism when it suits the market. And won’t like it, when not liking it will make them more money.
