#reading I sorted through piles of unread books, but decided this ( recently bought second hand) would be best after the #Chinese #fiction -- #China #history -- So, as a side note, both #Batemans & #Charleston had shelves of interesting old books that no one can open & read ☹️ Kipling had stacks on India & most of the rest of the world actually. I wonder if they all read all their books?
Much better weather this Sunday than last for a day out. Rather on impulse we came to #rudyardkipling former house #Batemans which has lovely gardens, and wasps, water, his house - a #Jacobean #Manor - took a picnic! Had a long walk through the country #ironworks #Sussex #Weald #NiceClouds #Tree #TreeTransformingPlan #garden #water #mill Just wondering if I could move in & just sit in this garden, writing stories...
