Every time you eat be grateful for it because hundreds of millions of people are still starving now. Be grateful for whatever food you have, no matter how much it is. Food is a basic human need that no human being throughout history can deny.

My loose definition: Art = practicing #creating and typically sharing something new, in a medium you're passionate about. It feels great. People used to do it commonly. As #art was commodified, it came to be viewed as outside the reach of ordinary people. Fewer people practice any art now; they've got a #BasicNeed unfulfilled. Even worse, they can't identify it. Which leaves them very easy targets to messages that boil down to "buy more useless crap."
