@MacLemon @ansible Good luck! This is what my friend and I found last time we looked into configuring the #awall #firewall with Ansible: https://github.com/maximum-ethics/linode-caddy/issues/18#issuecomment-1146154646

We never got around to finishing the job but I really would like to figure it out.

What did I use?

No. Not anything #BSD based.

No. Not #WRT of any kind.

#AlpineLinux + #Awall

That's it. Just Alpine and a little tweaking.

I am going to take notes as I do it so that I can write up a little how to later. I'm not just doing a basic input output router. We're doing #Wireguard, #VLANs, #iPerf, #PiHole, #NFS, and #Awall (Alpine Firewall)

FINALLY managed to punch a hole in the #firewall that allowed the #docker image to make DNS calls outward so I can actually federate this instance!

(really wanted to punch docker)

Problem was I had to restart the docker service after updating the firewall rules.
