大選前預算案不似預期。

去年的秋季聲明（Autumn Statement）提出，削減國民保險供款（National Insurance Contribution） 兩個百分點，而在今次預算案中，就再減兩個百分點，一般僱員只需要付8%，下個月生效，預計有2千7百萬人受惠。

今次預算案宣布的措施還包括，個人免稅儲蓄戶口ISA，由每年£20000，額外增加£5000，但就有投資英國相關產品的規定﹐另一項值得留意的措施，是侯俊偉取消購買多過一個物業的稅務優惠，但同時將資產增值稅，由目前28%減至24%，希望增加物業交投量和印花稅收入。不少傳媒分析都指，今次預算案向選民拉票意願不大，預計執政保守黨不會在上半年宣布大選。想知預算還有甚麼措施及外界反應，請收看EP85《兩邊走走》的編輯推介。
