CategorySoloI'm continuing my adventures into the past, tonight I started my first play-by-email game of Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit. I should really download my next log by dial-up for the authentic CompuServe experience lol
I love solo games. But playing Advanced Squad Leader #ASLSK solo has been so much more enjoyable than almost anything (not including Space Infantry... that's just holding on), I think I may sell all my other games.
I have a *very* large collection of #Battletech products from around 1995-2010, but at this point I'm holding them just in case my 5 year old will play with me in a decade. I think I might divest that collection, but it was the first game I loved so I don't want to!?

Loving some Advanced Squad Leader tonight. Playing S2 of the starter kit, rules are making sense in my head more each game.
Buying a perspex sheet and some dry wipe markers really helps keep deployments and objectives straight in my head, best £10 I've spent!
The Russians are getting thoroughly trounced though, let's hope for a lucky roll to bring in the reinforcements!
