I just read a Globe and Mail story that referred to windmills -- the things that are spun by the wind -- as "hydro windmills."
I can imagine how all this started but I gotta say it's really confusing seeing a term that literally means "water" being used for things that are not water. Would a Canadian say "hydro coal"?

I keep seeing news about separatist movement in Alberta. My understanding is that some of their cities do not align with the province. **Could a city, Edmonton for example, start a separatist movement to stay in Canada? ** On the same note, if the separatists win by a small margin, are they going to force it down to the rest of the population that want to stay Canadian? Or are they going to divide the province land with Canada?

Hello Canadians Me and my partner will spend two weeks in the Rocky Mountains (southern BC). What is the best app for looking up trails? I saw that the national parks provide some information but besides that there doesn’t seem to be some kind of official hiking map. My fear is that there will be a lot of people on the well-known trails in the national parks.
