I just had the chance to discover Pouya Hamidi's _I Will Greet the Sun Again_, a song cycle set to poetry by four Iranian woman writers. It's extremely moving, and the latter two songs in particular have a hopefulness that I think speaks to *waves vaguely at the world*

The Danish writer and poet Hans Christian Andersen travelled to Spain in 1862. Shortly after returning, he published a spirited travel book, In Spain, which also includes a number of quasi-sensual poems.

'The Lotus Flower' [Lotusblomsten] is one of these poems that show a lesser known side of the poet.

The video includes subtitles in Danish, English and Spanish.
