pam wonders what i do on the computer all day and it's mostly this:

i swear it's becoming a daily occurrence that some basic feature in Apple OS stops working and a search shows dozens of people with the same fucking problem and rarely is there a single reason or answer

after losing track of some archived emails it finally dawned on me that it's because search no longer works in the mail app

last night, i saw a reference to a song whose title included the name, 'Fingers McGee" in it. I used Siri app on my phone to try to find it. the search was unsuccessful, so i gave up. i was not high or drunk

this morning, i see that my profile name on my icloud account has been changed from "Eric Jennings" to "Fingers McGee"

clearly, Apple's lousy AI isn't good at listening. but the bigger issue is i am now not sure if i should accept the change...

(he was a real person, apparently, and the name is also slang for someone who compulsively touches things. so, in order to distinguish from these, i would need to modify the spelling to something like, Fingers McGhee)
