While I’m looking forward to this, Apple still needs multi app support in Slide Over: “iPadOS 26.2 will be releasing imminently, and with that update, the same gestures to open apps in Split View and Slide Over that used to exist are now back. It still works within the Windowing system, so it’s not exactly the same, but it’s incredibly similar.”

Just now finally getting on the iPad bandwagon. I’m a fan of #iPadOS26 but never really used any previous versions so I can’t compare. I’m finding that an iPad or Mac are much better to use than a phone

Running iPadOS 26.2 Beta 3 on my Air. Enjoying Split View and Slide over modes.

It makes me wish that MacOS had a slide over mode where the window would remain pinned on top. This would be really useful for me! I'm sure I can get an app to add this, but I do like these things to be native if possible.
