I think we all have to avoid some type of discurse or another as part of self care, and it's potentially a different type for each of us, and that's OK. For me it happens to be #doomerism (as well as #campism and a few others). During general election season, I also elect to tune out #AntiElectorialism. Anti-electoralism seems especially shrill this year. I don't think this year's conservadem is significantly more conservative than usual (and I do think the Republican candidate is much more fascistic than most), so Russian influence operations seem to me a more plausible explanation.
