Im April 2023 brach Krieg zwischen der Sudanesischen Armee (SAF) und den Rapid Support Forces (RSF) aus. Mehr als zwei Jahre später tobt dieser Krieg weiter und hat eine der schwersten humanitären Krisen weltweit ausgelöst. Millionen Menschen leiden unter Hunger, Vertreibung, Gewalt. Die Gewalt der RSF-Miliz in der Ende Oktober eroberten Stadt El Fasher in Nord-Darfur deuten auf die bislang größte Massentötung während dieses Krieges hin.
