Could #AI #slop bring back (elements of) the old open web?
I think it was on #AIInside with @jasonhowell and @jeffjarvis (or maybe #IntelligentMachines on #TWIT?) where they discussed the possibility that AI slop would drive ad rates into the basement, ruining the current ad-supported internet site model.
Some good sites will be lost. Some will find paying supporters. Some will be run PT by people with other jobs. Some will have paywalls.
A lot of SEO for-profit-only crap will be lost. Good.
