Looking over this, glad to see those #AgenticWeb discussions starting at the WC3. I deeply feel both the promise and the dangers to the Open Web and the Open Social Web are very real.
“Let’s first consider the problem at hand. A major reason for the web’s success is that it is open in many ways: it’s powered...

What is the agentic web?
I’ve published a new post defining the term and placing it in the broader history of the web:
Read web → Read/write web → Platform web → Agentic web
My core argument is that websites are not disappearing. They still matter, especially because the web is fundamentally a human construct. 4/x Again, I will make it easy for you by putting the #AI hashtag on all of my AI-related posts.
I’ll also add that if you have followed me for a bit, I hope you know by now that I’m not an ‘AI bro’ and that I always engage in web tech conversations with honesty and integrity. I’m not looking to be an “influencer” or anything like that. I’m always curious about, and tinkering with, new web tech; and in this case, I’m also trying to eke out a living by specializing in the #AgenticWeb.
Testing the #AgenticWeb feed from tags.pub -> this post should show up on @agenticweb, which you can follow if you’re interested in the topic.
(Cool new service from @evan that spreads tagged content further than normal; apparently just following a hashtag in Mastodon etc isn’t as effective as you’d think)
