I have my grandmother’s sewing machine. I did a little digging tonight, and it appears to be a New Home NLB from probably 1949.

I guess it’s time to read a manual and see if I have all/enough parts, if anything needs to be replaced, and what the spare parts situation is for things like bobbins or bobbin cases.

Also should probably give it an electrical once over to make sure everything is in safe operating condition.
