@BenCollver @jake4480 yeah! that's why I started my fork, #Zplusangband and then #ZdashAngband are terrific. I've been revamping my clone and now looks pretty awesome, but the character creation is, from a pure D&D point of view, bad.So me being a seasoned D&D DM for decades, I re-worked on the lines of code that needed readjustment but without altering anything that ints and rands. It should compile... but I can't. Let's hope a new fresh set of brains can help me. I appreciate it inmensely.
#traditionalroguelike #ZplusAngband here's some neat screenshots of my DnDnized fork =] today had more work done and will recompile it with the changes added when I have a spare couple hours. Meanwhile, more work done in the files that dont need to be re coded. Happy with the whole thing so far :]

Continuing with the project and learning on the go. Looks like this is a "fork" with added ideas from a master (which is BlueBaron Z-Angband), which is a fork of Mangojuice's official fork of the classic ZAngband. Boy, is this complicated :v
More stuff done yesterday, but hella tired to post, and more will be done later when I'm at my laptop.
Happy roguelike ing, everyone. Weekend is coming.

...quick update, regarding last post and the huge task of standardizing the monsters, i coded a tiny tool in #python to help me with it, and it worked quite nicely. Only 747 more bad guys to go
(. _.)' oh well lol
Getting up in 4 hours to go work... Ugh.
Goodnight to my mastodon fellas =]
#traditionalroguelike #ZplusAngband update/contribution/whateverthisis journal // ...there are monsters with a ridiculous 123d543, like wth. So I have to grind them all down to d8 number of rolls to organize them. A pain in the *o* but I am commited.
On another side, the testing is going good, my runs are pure adrenaline. When on the pc I will post some screenshots.
Night is over, it's 7am I'm done. Nighty-night my fellas.
#traditionalroguelike #ZplusAngband update/contribution/whateverthisis journal // ...so we are talking about going through 1000 monsters, and then, when all of them share the same conditions, i still have to fckn organize them in order from the monster that has 1d8 of HP (being 1 level) alllllll the way up to Morgoth and Oberon which who knows what level they are under the chaotic system the game has now,

#traditionalroguelike #ZplusAngband update/contribution/whateverthisis journal; another #nightshift of tranquility (kinda) at the harbour, so heavy work was put into the project. Being a long time D&D DM and seeing that the monsters stats are pure mess and randomness, I am tediously reworking them ALL, that's it, adjusting the random HP/AC/+ into a more organized old (ancient) school d8 way of cathegorization of the monsters/creatures,

@juliancday hey mate, I want u to know that I did what I told you, also helped a little neighbourhood local charity that takes care of clipped stray cats, and on top, I made the same donation to ur itchio. Next vacations I have some new #traditionalroguelikes to play for first time (^•^)/
Also keep the good pace with my update on #ZplusAngband 's family tree!! ASCII warriors unite!!!
Quick entry on the journal referring to the update of #ZplusAngband I'm working on, visuals feel quite the thing =] i added couple of good ideas for in-the-dungeon' light source, for extra crispy flavour. And I'm considering giving the radius of light one more grid unit, i need more testing to see how that goes when the RNG puts those light sources in differents rooms.
The monster/object/feature list has been worked on too. Baby steps forward.
