Γενέθλια Ζιζανίων - Πορεία γειτονιάς

Στις 3, 4, 23 και 24 Μαΐου το κατειλημμένο κοινωνικό κέντρο Ζιζάνια θα γιορτάσει 4 χρόνια ζωής. Παρά τις δύο εκκενώσεις, δεν σταματάμε να παλεύουμε για τη δημιουργία κοινοτήτων αλληλεγγύης και αγώνα στη γειτονιά της Βικτώριας. Βρισκόμαστε ακόμα εδώ, κόντρα στο φόβο και τη μιζέρια, με τα συντρόφια μας πάντα κοντά, με το όραμα μας για έναν απελευθερωμένο χώρο στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, ο οποίος στεγάζει πολιτικές διαδικασίες, τη συλλογική μας ζωή και ζύμωση, τέσσερα χρόνια μετά. Συνεχίζουμε να ονειρευόμαστε και να χτίζουμε τον κόσμο που θέλουμε να δούμε να ανθίζει.

Σας καλούμε να έρθετε να γιορτάσετε μαζί μας, να φάμε και να υπενθυμίσουμε για άλλη μια φορά ότι 4 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΜΕΤΑ, ΤΑ ΖΙΖΑΝΙΑ ΠΑΡΑΜΕΝΟΥΝ.

On the 3rd, 4th, and 23rd, 24th of May, Zizania squatted social center will celebrate 4 years of existence. Despite the two evictions, we never stopped struggling for the creation of communities of solidarity and struggle in the neighborhood of Viktoria. We are still here against the fear and misery, side by side with our comrades, building a freer space, in the center of the city, in which is housed, political processes, our collective life and co-creation after 4 years. We continue to dream and build the world we want to see blossom.

We invite everyone to celebrate with us, to eat together and to reiterate for yet another time that AFTER 4 YEARS ZIZANIA REMAINS.

Les 3, 4, 23 et 24 mai, le center social occuppé Zizania fêtera ses 4 ans d'existence. Despite the two expulsions, we have never stopped fighting for the creation of communities of solidarity and action in the neighborhood of Viktoria. On est toujours là, contre la peur et la misère, aux côtes de nos camarades, pour construire un espace plus libre, en plein center-ville, où on loge nos procédures politiques, notre vie collective et notre co-création depuis 4 ans. Nous continuons de rêver et de construire le monde qu'on veut voir s'épanouir.

Zizania has been evicted. It was an occupied social center in the center of Athens. Among other things, there were self-organized classes for refugee children, a library, space for lectures and other events. The place was a meeting point for the neighborhood and also organized resistance against evictions of refugees. The eviction is part of a wave of evictions that started last year.

We need places like Zizania, where we can practice mutual aid, where we can organize, where we can create an anti-fascist consciousness and solidarity. Even though Zizania has been evicted, the militant spirit of resistance and mutual aid will never die.

We are in solidarity with the people in Athens who, despite the increasingly harsh repression continue to struggle. You are not alone! Everywhere in the world there are places of resistance that will not be eradicated, like weeds that sprout again and again in the most unexpected places.

From Mainz to Zizania - we remain resistant!

Zizania wurde geräumt. Das war ein besetztes autonomes Zentrum sehr zentral in Athen. Unter anderem gab es dort selbstorganisierten Unterricht für geflüchtete Kinder, eine Bibliothek, Raum für Vorträge und andere Veranstaltungen. Der Ort war eine Anlaufstelle für die Nachbar*innenschaft und hat sich dort auch gegen Zwangsräumungen von geflüchteten Menschen gestellt. Die Räumung ist Teil einer Räumungswelle, die bereits letztes Jahr begonnen hat.

Wir brauchen Orte wie Zizania, an denen wir gegenseitige Hilfe praktizieren können, an denen wir uns organisieren können, an denen wir ein solidarisches, antifaschistisches Bewusstsein schaffen. Auch wenn Zizania geräumt wurde, wird der kämpferische Geist von Widerstand und gegenseitiger Hilfe nie zum erliegen kommen.

Wir sind solidarisch mit den Menschen in Athen, die sich trotz der immer härter werdenden Repression nicht unterkriegen lassen und weiter machen. Ihr seid nicht allein! Überall auf der Welt existieren widerständige Orte, die sich nicht ausrotten lassen werden, wie Unkraut, dass immer wieder an den unvorhergesehensten Stellen neu hervorsprießt.

Von Mainz nach Zizania - wir bleiben widerständig!

Den Versuch wars wert. Den faserigen Teil der #Zizania grob zerhackt, dann aufgekocht, stundenlang in der Thermosflasche ziehen lassen, geschreddert, gekostet ... na ja. Ausgedrückt ergäben sich aber interessante Verwendungsmöglichkeiten.

#Zizania latifolia, der mandschurische #Wasserreis. Geblüht hat er nie, aber den kleinen Teich zugewuchert. Weshalb da jetzt Hacke und Messer gezogen werden. Das Mark, also das Innere des unteren Stängels, ist frisch und ungekocht genießbar. Der Geschmack erinnert an frische rohe Maiskolben. Gekochter Spargel ist freilich leckerer, aber roh ist Wasserreis besser und zarter. Gesundheitlich ... nun, da ist roh einfach alles besser. Bis auf Kartoffelbrei.

#Zizania latifolia, auch #MandschurischerWildreis genannt. Nach drei oder vier Jahren im flachen Teich hat er wieder nicht geblüht, aber das Becken völlig zugewuchert. Also hab ich versucht, ihn durch die Küche zu bändigen. Fazit: Die Wurzelspitzen der Ausläufer sind sehr zart, der Trieb im Herbst eher nicht. Nach drei Stunden Garzeit in der Thermosflasche problemlos zu genießen. Geschmack erinnert an Spargel. Nächster Versuch im Frühling ...

Mal so ins Ungewisse gefragt: Hat schon mal jemand kanadischen Reis, #Zizania aquatica, angepflanzt? Und dann auch noch was geerntet? Meiner steht schon ein paar Jahre und ich bin einigermaßen ratlos.
