PHP will retire PHP License 3.01 and replace it with BSD-3-Clause after a multi-year process led by the PHP Group and community maintainers. 🐘
The change also retires the non-OSI Zend Engine License, removing GPL compatibility issues and simplifying redistribution for Linux distributions. 🔓
