The Drachenfelsbahn steam locomotive "2" as a memorial at the valley station of the rack railway up the Siebengebirge (Drachenfels ruins). The 1.520 metre-long route climbs 220 metres in altitude, with a maximum gradient of 20 percent. The Drachenfelsbahn is one of the busiest cogwheel railways in Europe, carrying more than 35 million passengers by 2008.

The Drachenfelsbahn, which takes visitors from the valley station in Königswinter (on the Rhine, Rhine-Sieg district) up to the famous Drachenfels ruins in the Siebengebirge mountains, is the oldest operating cog railway in Germany.
