RUNNYMEDE PARK / OLDEST TREES IN TORONTO?
The oldest national tree in England is in #Runnymede, 2500 years old and 26 ft across, the #AnkerwyckeYew (#MagnaCarta was signed there).
These are 4’ wide and maybe 200-400 years old.
No trees out west r this big. Did they clear cut the country in the 1820s? indigenous pop: 2.5 mil in early 1800s to 150k by 1920.
