After Maron eats she's anxious to go for a walk, or at least out to the garden or neighboring field to reliever herself a bit, eats some grass, hop around hoping to catch moles or something.. But I usually have to walk around and feed the chickens first so I attach her walking (~ 5meters) lead to a bush by the firewood so she can smell places she can usually only see or hear. This time she got her lead wrapped around a YatsuDe. The shrub is called a an 8-hand but a forest guy said the leave always have either 7 or 9 fingers, never eight. Maybe the name just took the average?

Marron is surprisingly calm when she gets her lead stuck. She gives off a few alarm barks then just waits. She causes a lot less stress than the noisy Maltese dog we ended up with for a few years. That dog could not learn to shut up: it was impossible to have a conversation with a visitor... Wikipedia or somewhere said that Maltese dogs are the most abandoned in both Seoul and Australia...
