@AleixPol @federicomena After poking around for a while I'm just not "getting" this place TBH. It's like a corrupted broken version of blog posting from when I was in #ximian, but with less engagement and more corporate shilling and a whole lot more #proprietary junk. Well much like the whole internet I guess.

Wow, 8/11/2025 was _20_ years since I left Novell/Ximian/Evolution! I was WFH before it was cool (hint: it isn't cool), I don't miss it.

И если вы хотите что-то узнать о человеке — посмотрите, кто его друзья. Например, взять выдающегося Фабриса Беллара, о котором мы публиковали несколько статей . Его не очень волнует мирская суета (карьера, деньги, известность и прочие атрибуты «успеха» у обывателей), а только интересная работа. В интернете всего две фотографии Фабриса, и одна из них — с компьютерной конференции, где он сфотографировался с Мигелем де Икаса , основателем проектов GNOME и Mono. Сразу понятно, кто достоин уважения с точки зрения Беллара.

I think #Ximian and #Yorba were two of the most exciting foundations of the #Linux software world. Sad they both ceased to exist.
