Somehow i mist the connection between the works until it was too late.
For a while Pug Henry was the cammander of USS Northampton (CA-26), named after the university town of Questionable Content.

I basically noticed this the moment the ship got sunk in the book.

But i deliberately hadn’t looked too close at the bits about its end.

I sort-of rememberd that he wasn’t steaming around the whole war on that one ship, but didn’t remember what did happen to his command.

What happend was that he had orders to go to Washington when relievd.
