I keep banging on about the same old things because I believe they are necessary.
#universalJustice #universalequality #universaleducation #Unityindiversity #worldfederalism the end of national #sovereignty & #patriarchalcapitalism.
I don't care what colour your flag or political belief.
Only when we have a balance between heart and mind will we start to recognise @universaljustice
@zephry There are many forms of democracy that have to, by definition, be an experiment. Representation has had its day.
I don't need professional politicians; I need an accountable civil service.
I don't need lobbyists; I  need choice.
I don't need representation; I need a place.
I don't need to be told; I need to be heard.
I don't need divisive tribal politics.
What I need is a fully staffed, well trained, truly independent civil service, guided by peoples assemblies, guided by experience. We can have #Unityindiversity.
"I" can't speak for "others" but "we" can agree, if not we can have a dialogue, there is a way through this and many of the the 99% are experimenting with options. Others are waking up every day and joining the conversation. Many of them are taking action. I am grateful.

Leaders elected and civil must consider all possibilities.

This balanced and comprehensive system can provide a much-needed federal government for all humanity, definately not perfect but based on the most advanced principles of parliamentary democracy, with checks and balances to prevent abuses of power.
#UnityInDiversity #universaljustice #worldfederalism. the failed experiment of #statesovereignty has to be recognised and moved into the history books from which we (can) learn
The notion of world government is anathema to most political theorists. This is the case due to the arguments that a world government is infeasible, undesirable and unnecessary. This three-fold argument is partly predicated on the assumption that in world politics the larger a geographical and political entity is, the greater the chance of it becoming  unstable, ungovernable and, ultimately, illegitimate. On the one hand, if this assumption is correct, then a world government is likely to be illegitimate. On the other hand, if the assumption is wrong, then it is not far-fetched to consider a world government to be legitimate.
Considering a world government that emerges from a global social contract, this paper contends that:
the legitimacy or illegitimacy of a world government and the extent to which it is legitimate or illegitimate depends on the kind of social contract that produces it and the extent to which it fulfils or fails to fulfil the conditions of the social contract.

Deudney (2007: Ch. 6) rejects contentions that a world government must be built on a hierarchical model, sword at the ready to enforce global peace. Instead, and turning in part to the US founding for his model he posits a system of semi-autonomous republics coexisting within an overarching federal structure, with extensive separation of coercive and other powers at various levels of government.

@catileptic the rule of law has always served the lawmakers. For planetary law to be truly enacted state sovereignty has to end, without this, global governance will never have any teeth. #worldfederalism

An admission of complicity surely.

BREAKING: SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM THREATENS TO SANCTION COUNTRIES WHO COOPERATE WITH ICC ARREST WARRANT

“I will soon introduce legislation that will impose sanctions on any country that cooperates with the orders of the court in The Hague.

“I don't care if it's Canada, France, Germany or any other country. These arrest warrants are a threat to the US and not only to Israel. We are next in line. I am convinced that there will be a bipartisan majority for this law and that President Trump will sign it.”

We need global governance-I can't see any alternative to global system change except #worldfederalism, anyone?

Can we 🛑 deconstructing war it destroys any kind of security. We need to control war, then we can tackle climate crisis, poverty of all kinds, human rights, #equality, the need for #Justice & global governance, etc. We can't while planetary resources are being squandered.
The creation of state #sovereignty has run its course and whilst useful for a time has become warped by our "leaders" and must end along with representative democracy. There are alternatives #worldfederalism #peoplesassemblies
Yes, multilateralism as opposed to unilateralism. However, there are better ways than multilateralism, like federalism. We should never forget that. #toFedEU #WorldFederalism

The United Nations for all its shortcomings is the best hope we have as a global governance watchdog (apparently). Needless to say it needs major reforms & restructuring, not least ending the #veto & end present security council failures, they are undemocratic. We need to experiment with democracy not put it in a box. It let's #civilsociety thrive & people grow. #worldfederalism #Education #Equality #Justice #worldcitizen #sortition

The Laboratory of Democracy - Rivera Sun

The United States is a laboratory for democracy – a centuries-long experiment in what does and does not work for people making decisions together. Moments of abject failure and soaring success punctuate long periods of disruption, shut-downs, and the regular ransacking of our laboratory. Our experimental efforts have often been thwarted by undemocratic interests. The […]
