Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish is a Canadian-Palestinian medical doctor and author. He was born in Gaza and was a Palestinian doctor who worked in an Israeli hospital and has been active in promoting Israeli- Palestinian reconciliation. During the Gaza War in January 2009, his three daughters and a niece were killed by Israeli tank fire directed at his home.
He has refused hate and chooses forgiveness.

Stagflation, according to Wikipedia, was probably coined by British politician Iain Macleod in the 1960s. I believe it is symptomatic of the death of #patriarchalcapitalism a growing collective consciousness is an indicator of alternatives arising.

The military around the world uses a large majority of the fossil fuel extracted from it. We can tackle the eco crisis only when the wars end. Wars will only end when #statesovereignty ends or is very much reduced.

@zephry There are many forms of democracy that have to, by definition, be an experiment. Representation has had its day.
I don't need professional politicians; I need an accountable civil service.
I don't need lobbyists; I  need choice.
I don't need representation; I need a place.
I don't need to be told; I need to be heard.
I don't need divisive tribal politics.
What I need is a fully staffed, well trained, truly independent civil service, guided by peoples assemblies, guided by experience. We can have #Unityindiversity.
"I" can't speak for "others" but "we" can agree, if not we can have a dialogue, there is a way through this and many of the the 99% are experimenting with options. Others are waking up every day and joining the conversation. Many of them are taking action. I am grateful.

Humans have set themselves apart from the universe. We are not really in control as we think. We're denying and working hard at them. We are distracting ourselves.
In doing so, we procede to traumatise our species and the ecology of which we are a part.
We/I/you have choices we/you/I have decisions to make, and like the adolescents we are, we're afraid of the consequences, but we can face them together through trust & acceptance.

#unityindiversity will develop only when #patriarchalcapitalism and domination systems are replaced with partnership.
Put simply, I believe patriotism, i.e., pride & connection to the land you choose as yours, not because of birth is good. Nationalism is not the same thing. Why because #Sovereignty is a #myth & barrier to rule of law. States can exist without it & can be #autonomous.

The rise of authoritarianism is a natural development of neoliberalism. These two things have created the poly-crisis we are in at present. These things feel threatened by the rising awareness of #UnityInDiversity and with it a return to connection we have lost as a result of the domination culture and it's systems of #patriarchalcapitalism & #statesovereignty these two things are struggling to keep going just as we are struggling to identify alternatives. But we are developing them, and the tipping point of the new planetary experiment/experience is coming closer. We are on our way home.
