A WALK ALONG COLONIAL CREEK LINK WITH KARA NEUFEGLISE

When deciding the location for our walk, drama teacher Kara Neufeglise knew they wanted to be close to water. We began at the Claude Dubrick trailway along the Grand River in Waterloo. When muddy conditions and fallen logs required us to turn back, we moved to Colonial Creek Link in the Eastbridge neighbourhood, still following the water.

Had the pleasure to see 2 #AgathaChristie plays in #London! #TheMousetrap is the longest running play in the world, it has a good story with a somewhat unsatisfying reveal. OTOH #WitnessfortheProsecution is staged in #LondonCountyHall where you feel like you're part of the action. We were sucked into the story as scenes unfolded with unexpected twists right up to the end. Actors for both plays were brilliant, but the plot + stage setting + comfy seats made Witness the more enjoyable experience.

Another amazing fact (and probably injected by Wilder):
In those movies from the 1930s to 1960s, I mostly cannot guess the age of the persons, only tell “this one is younger than this.”

The victim, Emily French, is significantly older than the suspect, and also older than the suspect's wife (Dietrich) who seem to be a bit older than the suspect.

The victim is 56

The film was recorded in 1957

Marlene Dietrich was born in 1901

Do the math!

I just realized: in the courtroom scenes of “Witness for the Prosecution” (1957, by Agatha #Christie and Billy #Wilder with Marlene #Dietrich), the justices are referred to as “the Queen's justices.” And this queen was The Queen, Elizabeth II!

For the first time, I recently saw the movie and the current “head” wouldn’t be her anymore, but her son. That’s strange!
