@coolandnormal Eeyupp - "#WhiteAustraliaPolicy" basically is being continued White Australia Policy aka. White Ethnonationalism as we can see woth illegal detention and deportation being flexed only against marginalized people...

Add to that Economic inequality and we'd rather see #Aistralia opening an #NPP on Aboriginal Land than even within sight of a #white #suburb, because poor people don't matter politically as they ain't an election-swinging block...

There was some emphasis on the #WhiteAustraliaPolicy, little to none on the atrocities committed against Australian POWs and much on shared values and a current strong relationship.

Thing is (in my understanding) the earliest trade interactions between #Australia and #Japan weren't mentioned.
