What It Sounds Like from KPop Demon Hunters (In the style of Linkin Park)

YouTube
This came in the mail, today,, from @republicrecords. I've been listening to the music from this hit film, known as #kpopdemonhunters, or by the acronym, #kpdh by fans, for a while. I'd personally recommend the film, if you haven't seen it. The film, currently on #netflix, follows the story of three girls, Zoey, Mira, and Rumi, who act as music stars (#kpop stars, i.e. the the title) with a band named #huntrix but are actually demon hunters, with their music used to maintain the barrier (known as the honmoon) used to keep the #demons from leaving the underworld and entering the human world on the surface. While Huntrix is on the verge of making the honmoon golden (which would stop the demons from ever entering the human world), Rumi has a secret she hidden away from the others... One demon, Jinu, has a plan to break apart the honmoon, allowing his master, and leader of the underworld, Gwi-man, to take over the surface. He has the idea of a demon boy band, named the #sajaboys, aiming to pull away the fans, the very people who maintain the honmoon. And that's the very quick summary. I wrote about all of this in much more detail my newsletter on substack in early September, also available on https://historieshermann.wordpress.com/.

Sorry for the blurriness in some of these images.

P.S. This disc comes with a poster, insert describing the songs, and a card of one of the band members (Mira). Of the songs, my favorite is "What it Sounds Like." Golden, which is the one which has been the big hit, is *good* but I like #whatitsoundslike better, with #free probably as number 2, for me, then perhaps #golden, along with the others.
