A friend let me try his e-mountain bike today,and it was a game changer. You can adjust the amount of assist so you are still working but not dying. I did bite it pretty hard on the way down and have some road rash to show for it. I know some are completely anti e-bike, but I loved it! I would not use assist for road biking, but for mountain biking? Yes please. 🚵‍♀️

Sunday Sends Bike Riding and Paris Baguette pastry store -- Heart Heart! I got a ride in with Jeremy and Ben this morning. Weekly Sunday Sends bike ride that Jeremy set up. Twas a little warm, but I had a great time. My rear derailleur cable frayed up and blew off, but we got it working again. I scored some garlic croissants and a pastry and am chilling at sbux writing a tune.

As a mountain biker, you take risks but you're in control of your risks. In road racing it's so much about positioning and the risk is completely out of your control. You put yourself in a position in the peloton and hope for the best, that nobody in front of you crashes. That took quite a lot of mental work for me to overcome.
